Adele: Sexy Sophisticate
Reason

If you love Adele's look, and would like to copy her sexy sophistication, there are several ways of updating your style. Dark eye make up and carefully dishevelled hair are the order of the day. Outfits should be subtle and should not display too much flesh. Even if you can't sing like Adele, her sex appeal can be yours!
Adele's hair is coloured a golden blonde that is very natural looking. To get this look, go to a professional hairdresser. You don't want the yellow dried out strands that can accompany a home dye job. This look relies on your hair being freshly washed, blow dried and exhibiting shine. If you can't achieve the kind of shine you want naturally, there are many products on the market that can help you to create it. You can also employ some techniques at home, such as making your final rinse with cold water. This seals the cuticle of your hair, allowing maximum shine.
The soulful icon wears her hair in a carefully dishevelled up do. It has 60s style height at the crown, and frames her face. A few artfully created strands completes her look. This might appear relatively carefree, but spending time on getting this stylish look right will allow you to emanate glamorous sophistication.
Charcoal smudged lids are highlighted by black eye liner and heavy dark lashes. Apply your eye shadow in layers to build up to dramatic impact, and line your eyes with a curved finish at the edges. False eyelashes complete the look. You can buy strips of false eyelashes, but individual ones will look more natural and create more of a definitive look. They might be fiddly, but, with a bit of practice, you'll be a smoking siren in no time! Pale lips and creamy skin emphasise the iconic vintage look, and draw attention to the eyes. Brows should be reasonably thick, no pencil thin creations here, and shaped with a subtle arch. Groom and maintain your brows with a brow brush and pencil in a shade to complement your skin tone and hair colour.
Adele wears a lot of black, which is never out of fashion. She favours A lines and scoop necks that are fitted but do not expose cleveage or flesh. For accessories, simple jewellery is key to this look. Plain small silver hoop earrings add a sophisticated yet approachable style, and help to emphasise Adele's beautiful skin.
If you want to look like Adele, you should focus on carefully designed up dos for your hair, vintage icon type make up, and minimal accessories. Dresses should be plain but fitted, and allow the hair and make up to take centre stage. Follow these tips, and you'll be oozing sexy sophistication in no time!

You Can Look Like One of Them

Paris. Romance, beauty and fashion. Have you ever heard someone say “they were dressed as a Parisian”? The people who state this often say so with a sense of respect and awe, and rightly so. The Parisian style is one to envy and one to try to pull off, if you can and, contrary to the name, it's not only for those from Paris. What then is the Parisian style?
You don't often think of men's clothing when it comes to the word ‘chic'? It's not always a staple in the Parisian girls' wardrobe, but a man's blazer or collared shirt isn't an uncommon sight to see.
But a lot of it is girly. High heels are worn often as well as boots. Colours tend to be more basic and not of the fluorescent or bold tones. Blacks or calm pastel colours are what you should be going for.
It's about owning the perfect set of jeans, buying that cashmere sweater – in pastel colours or better yet, navy blue – wearing that delicate black dress. It's about making your favourite jeans and top be the easiest thing to throw on, yet still able to feel like the fashion queen.
Flats go nicely with your jeans or skirt, whilst looking and feeling comfortable is key in looking Parisian.
Dressing Parisian is not about trying too hard. It's about accessorising with just the right purse, right bracelet or necklace. It's about putting on the perfect amount when dressing and knowing you've got it.
Parisian girls are able to show their femininity, even when wearing jeans and boots. It's an air of confidence that adds to the look and one you shouldn't be found without, when pulling off this challenging yet charming guise.

A Life Based on Beauty

For many young people – mainly females but there are plenty of interested males as well – the career of a model is an appealing one. Being paid to look beautiful seems to grasp the attention of countless career-seeking youths. And if you've got it, why not flaunt it?
But when looking to get into the world of fashion and modelling, you should take a closer look at what it entails; while it is definitely an attractive and, depending on your level of modelling, lucrative career, it is a demanding one as well. It takes a lot of work, dieting, patience and accepting criticism to make it as a top model. A job that is all about looking good may not be something you can depend on for the rest of your life. While many women such as Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and Giselle Bundchen have made it large and long, there is a significant number of those who haven't.
It takes discipline to be a model. Let's face it, the fashion industry requires their female models to be under a certain weight and fit into a certain size. This leads to strict diets and a strict lifestyle. Another thing is pay. Unless a model is making it big in the fashion world, the pay really isn't that great and to even get started as a model, a lot of the time, the individual ends up paying out of their own pocket to get started.
But if a model does make it big, they can expect a lucrative, attractive and popular career, at least for as long as they are willing to put the work in. It is a lot of traveling, hard work, and always striving to be the best. It is a rewarding experience for those who make it big and are able to keep it up for many years.

Dress Up Milan Style
Reason

happygoluckytv
If you've heard of fashion, you will have heard of Milan. Milan, where fashion meets its destiny, where trends are set in stone, and where style is created.
“Milanites” know that overdoing is under succeeding. For those of us who weren't lucky enough to be born as one of them, we may go overboard when trying to look chic or fashionable. Adding too much here and there may be doing just the opposite of what you're meaning it to.
Combining your clothes as a Milan local usually means sticking to solid colours. Clear, clean and simple. Too many frills and thrills can throw your wardrobe off. Bright colours seem to be left for exotic paintings for these fashionistas who suggest that sticking to colours such as blue, white, black and brown is the better way to go.
Another thing many of the well-dressed locals do is dress according to their bodies. You may love that trendy pair of skinny jeans, but maybe your body looks better in something else. Keep your body in mind when shopping. Which leads us to another question.
Where would one go shopping in Milan?
Whether you can afford it or not, if you like fashion and shopping, you must go to Quadrilatero della Moda, where you will find high fashion stores with their gorgeous clothes and accessories. You will find anything from Alexander McQueen, Alberta Ferretti, to Gucci and Versace.
If you're shopping budget is of a lower price range, check out Dmagazine outlet which is also located in the main shopping area. Basement is an even better place to go when looking for brand names at cheaper prices.
With a little bit of searching and following some useful fashion tips, you may just find yourself as one of Milan's best dressed.

Living London Luxuriously
Reason
Posted by:
happygoluckytv
Living in a large cosmopolitan city such as London can be exhilarating but expensive. If it's that luxurious lifestyle without the hefty price tag you're after, then why not follow our top tips on how to be a stylish yet savvy shopper.
Buy Online
Even large department stores stock up exclusively online, so remember to regularly browse web pages to find the latest deals. Whenever possible, opt to have your goodie bag delivered to your nearest store, this will save you a lot on postage and packaging costs.
Go Antique
Frequently visit both antique and regular market stalls for quality vintage items, one-of-a-kind costume jewellery and even designer cast-offs. The key to your success lies in discovering remote areas, as popular areas will have long queues and even bigger price tags. Even magazine editors credit market stalls for their best buys.
Get a Personal Shopper
Many personal shopper services are completely free, but do require you to book ahead of time and commit to the scheduled appointment. Personal shoppers will happily search the store floors for you while you sit back and relax, so think of it as a mini styling session. You may even benefit from invaluable tips such as how to flatter that frame of yours, to which of the season's key pieces are worth their weight in pennies.
Compare
If it's a massage or a mani-pedi session you have your eye on, it's wise to shop around for better deals before you buy. Read reviews about a specific product you're interested in and ask a friend, family member or colleague who shares the same interests and gives great advice. Remember that inexpensive does not always mean poor quality, neither is quality guaranteed at a posh parlour.
Sample
Most beauty counters are ready to offer their customers a sample of a popular product, so don't be shy when asking to try before you buy.

Romantic Restaurants in Paris
Reason

happygoluckytv
Paris is known for romance; it's where dreamers thrive and romance blossoms. If you're making your way to Paris with that special someone, it is well worth planning a romantic night out. The first step to any romantic night out is a good meal, so here are three of Paris' most romantic restaurants
1. Lapérouse: The famous Victor Hugo was once a regular here and the restaurant's mirrors still have diamond scratches from the days of yore when mistresses tested how genuine jewels were. It's hard not to succumb to the charms of this 17th-century Seine-side town house whose salons speak of history like none other. The cuisine aims for a balance between traditional and modern, often drawing on Mediterranean inspirations. For a wonderfully romantic meal, reserve one of the legendary private salons. You can also sample the restaurant's eclectic menu at lunch, when a bargain menu is served for €35-€45 in both the main dining room and the private salons.
2. Dans Le Noir: Dinner in complete darkness. The perfect way to experience a romantic night out. With your sense of sight temporarily held hostage it's amazing how your other senses come alive. You and your partner will find yourself so much more aware of not only the food you taste but also of each other. The guests are served a three-course gourmet meal with guidance from visually impaired servers, who encourage diners to get comfortable with the darkness by suggesting that they serve their wine themselves, for instance. This is a wonderfully refreshing experience in a relaxed and friendly environment and the service is impeccable. Be warned though, there can be a long waiting time.
3. Les Bouchons de François Clerc: This is a very small bistro in a 17th century building and is a great option for a romantic night out that is also easy on the wallet. It's extremely charming and the décor is rather romantic. The food is priced reasonably and they boast the “least expensive wine list in all of France”. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Haute Couture:The Parisian Way
Reason

happygoluckytv
Heading to Paris and wanting to fit in fashionably or just intrigued by the way Parisians always manage to stay so super chic and trendy?
Here are 5 easy ways to dressing the Parisian way!
Accessorize wisely
If anyone knows how to accessorize, it's the Parisians. The silk scarf is a trademark Parisian accessory, tie it loosely around your neck in a neat knot over a neutral overcoat and you can't go wrong! Experiment with various hair accessories, sunglasses and bags depending on what suits you and your tastes. Most importantly: explore the world of hats - an elegant cloche, a bohemian slouchy bonnet or the quintessential french beret. Nothing adds ‘a certain je ne sais quoi' like a good hat.
Lose the Bling
Jewellery is minimalistic to say the least. For the daytime, go with pearls and keep diamonds for the evening. A simple bracelet, studs or a strand of pearls around your neck will do just fine. They don't have to be real - just as long as they look real. .jpg)
Footwear
Sneakers or chunky boots are a complete no no. If you can't walk comfortably in heels, then give them a miss too. Go for simple, clean cut flats that are stylish yet comfy.
Neutral Tones
The Parisians prefer sombre classy earthy tones instead of Pop Art colours that scream for attention. Everything about their style is classy and understated. Add a hint of colour through your scarf or hat. Another option is to play up a neutral outfit by adding a splash of colour through a bold but basic red or blue jacket.
Always make the effort
It takes a lot of time and effort to look stylish – and Parisians never rush anything. You will rarely ever see a poorly dressed French person strolling down the Champs Élysées. Even day-to-day activities like walking the dog, going to the grocery store or running to the post office requires putting on a bit of lipstick, trying on the new scarf or wearing your classic beret. Once you've got the look sorted, throw in a few French words, remember your etiquette and you're all set to be as chic as any Parisian strutting their stuff on the streets of Montmartre.

Soho Chic

You can see them in strutting their stuff in the West End, propping up a bar in Hackney or window-shopping in Shoreditch. They're fun, intellectual and uniquely stylish - and that's why the rest of the world wants to dress like them. Welcome to the world of the Artsy London clan who are out there doing their own thing, breaking and making their own rules.
Here's how you can get some of their style into your own wardrobe:
Skinny Jeans
A unisexual trend, skinny jeans are available in a variety of colours and are a popular choice with most of the artsy folk. Customize them to make them truly ‘yours', whether it's adding badges, sewing on patches or just buying a pair that are in your favourite vibrant colour.
Oversized Sweaters
Girls, grab your mans' sweater! If they're neutral in tone, team them up with a pair of funky slacks or if they're loud and flashy wear them with a pair of plain jeans.
Glasses
Even if you don't actually wear glasses, buy a pair to wear on the days you're feeling hugely intellectual and poetic. Oversized frames are incredibly popular but they don't suit everyone. There is a great variety available, from chunky funky colours to thin basic blacks in all odd shapes and sizes. Have fun while choosing them, see what suits you best and give it a go.
Sneakers
They're fun, funky and comfortable. There isn't a better combination than that. Whether they're patterned, coloured or sequined, sneakers teamed up with a simple dress or a skinny jeans-oversized sweater combo can never go wrong!
Bags
Bags are the quintessential hipsters' favourite accessory. Side satchels are the current trend but you can't make a mistake with a basic backpack for the boys and an oversized printed bag for the girls. Try teaming colourful bags with clashing or co-ordinated outfits - whatever floats your boat.
The best part about the Artsy London look is that it's so individualistic there are no rules to follow! So look at these tips for guidance and then have fun creating your own unique fearless brand name for others to look up to.

Shopping in London
Reason

happygoluckytv
London offers a dizzying array of shops, from budget outlets to the top-end designer boutiques, suiting all tastes and wallets. At either side of the spectrum the most well known shopping meccas in the UK's capital are in Oxford Street and Bond Street.
Oxford Street is Europe's busiest shopping strip with millions of visitors pounding its pavements every year. It houses a huge number of shops, often ‘flagship' stores, from budget behemoths like Primark, the popular low cost clothing store, and classy department stores including John Lewis and Selfridges. Bond Street caters for a more upmarket customer, housing many well-known designer brands including Gucci and Christian Dior.
However, away from the hustle and bustle of these two well known hotspots lies a more interesting range of shopping choices that you might not be so familiar with:
Carnaby Street (Oxford Circus tube)
Just a few moments stroll from the chain stores of neighbouring Oxford Street is where you'll find the more discerning (and notably better dressed) customer. It will appeal to both men and women alike as there are clothing and shoe shops for both, as well as mixed gift stores. Whilst there are a couple of well known brands, there is an altogether edgier style to be found here, often independent, together with some great vintage stores such as Fur Coat No Knickers (2.15 Kingly Court) and Peekaboo Vintage (2 Ganton Street).
Spitalfields Market (Liverpool St tube)
Perhaps less well known that other clothes markets such as Camden and Portobello (Notting Hill), Spitalfields is a must-see East London destination specialising mostly in clothes and interiors. The old market is made up of stalls, with clothing for both adults and children. Housed in an old factory warehouse, as well as grabbing a great bargain, you'll be shopping to your heart's content in some of the most atmospheric surroundings in the city. Skirting the main market are upmarket interior shops with both new and vintage treasures waiting to be discovered.
Westfield Shopping Centres
Located in West London (nearest tube Shepherd's Bush) and a new centre recently opened in East London (Stratford tube) next to the Olympic village, London is now home to the two largest shopping malls in Europe. Covering all types of shops, styles and budgets, if you are into shopping and don't mind the less authentic atmosphere of a mall, then you really need look no further than the Westfield centres. To ensure that you get the most out of your trip, there are a variety of eateries to give you the extra fuel you'll need to continue your shopping.
Hampstead (Hampstead tube)
One of the prettiest (and wealthiest) areas of London, Hampstead hosts a number of chain stores and independent shops making it a fascinating place to shop if you want a break from the buses and crowds of the more central locations. The tone here is upmarket high street stores such as Jigsaw, to designers such as Nicole Farhi, mixed with a growing number of independents. Arts and crafts shop-cum-gallery/workshop, The Oak Studio at Perrins Court is also a must-see; as well as exhibitions and handcrafted delights on sale, it also offers workshops for you to explore your creative side.

98 Bar and Lounge Review
Reason
Posted by:
happygoluckytv
The East End of London has long established itself as the cool and quirky side of the capital, with popular areas such as Old Street in Shoreditch attracting a young and hip crowd. Bars are well known here, and it takes an altogether new and inspired place to shake up what could quickly become a tired and obvious area.
Welcome then, to 98 bar and lounge. Tucked away behind a secret door, within walking distance of Old Street and Liverpool Street tube station, this magical bar offers unique and original surroundings that will be sure to delight. From the outset, starting your journey on an otherwise nondescript street after eyeing a subtle ‘98' sign to confirm that you're in the right place, you are led down a twirling outdoor staircase to the subterranean magic of the basement beneath. Pretty foliage surrounds you on your journey down, giving a taster of the new world awaiting you below.
Through the doors a real life Alice in Wonderland experience hits you; it takes some time to fully take in the delightful scene around you. Antique teacups, saucers placed on tables and sweet jars line every wall. Antique Louis XIV furniture invites you to sit on it, perhaps stroke it, and the waiters and waitresses' beauty implies an air of exclusivity. You know you have stumbled upon a gem here, and almost as much as the innocuous street it lies on does, you want to keep it a secret.
For all its theatre and mystery, 98 is surprisingly down to earth in its atmosphere - making it a trendy little place that never feels too pretentious. No, it is more like a childhood treat; you're supposed to be excited at this place. It wants you to be.
The cocktails are a treat too, focusing not just on flavour but on colour and visual display too. Most notably is it's ‘Passing Clouds' cocktail, made with real candy floss, a cornucopia for the eyes as well as the taste buds!
The main bar is a delight in itself - and well worth lounging in – however, in a seemingly small place there is still more to discover: a conservatory and piano room, a stylish sitting-room space beyond, and yet another bar space towards the back of the first three rooms. Stylish and intimate, this is a place to impress friends and dates alike. Go, please, but don't tell too many people our little secret.
